The adventure starts before you reach the trail. From planning a backcountry hike to preparing for an unexpected change of plans, the River Country Gear LifePack™ brings a broad range of camping and emergency essentials together in one already-packed backpack.

Designed as a one-person kit, it combines shelter, sleeping gear, cooking equipment, food, water supplies, and everyday camp tools. It’s a practical starting point for a new backpacker or an emergency preparedness setup, with room to make the final checklist your own.

Packed for the trail and the unexpected

  • 70-liter backpack: Adjustable torso height, gel-padded shoulder harness, arched internal frame, multiple storage pockets, removable rainfly, and removable duffel shoulder strap.
  • Shelter: Two-person, two-layer Trekker Palace tent with compression bag, stakes, guylines, and carbon fiber trekking poles with foam handles.
  • Sleep system: Air pad, self-inflating pillow that also pumps the pad, and a Large sleeping bag. The listed bag measures 89 × 35 inches, weighs 2 lb 8 oz, and has a 40°F temperature rating. Straps and pockets help secure the pad.
  • Cooking gear: Biofuel stove, pan, bowl, and spork/knife.
  • Portable power: Solar panel and a 10,000 mAh rechargeable battery pack.
  • Food supplies: Six dinner servings across three two-serving packs, four breakfast servings across two two-serving packs, and survival tablets listed by the supplier as an additional six-day supply.
  • Water supplies: Two Smart Water bottles, two cans of water, a water filter, and purification tablets.
  • Lighting and weather gear: Rechargeable headlamp, poncho/tarp, and multi-tool.
  • First aid and personal supplies: Small first aid kit, sunscreen, insect-repellent wipes, lip balm, and an N95 face mask.
  • Hygiene kit: Toilet paper, toothbrush, toothpaste, bio-shampoo, and bio-soap.
  • Fire-starting supplies: Matches, lighter, and fire starter sticks.
  • Camp essentials: Camp towel, hand cloth, small cup, compass, carabiners, 25 feet of guyline rope, and a Life In A Pack USB drive.
  • Additional gear: Daypack, beanie hat, travel sewing kit, small shovel, and Life Pack Survival Playing Cards.

Make it your own before you go

Listed packed weight: Under 33 lb. This is a one-person supply kit even though the included tent is sized for two.

Check every item before your trip and add clothing, medications, navigation resources, and supplies appropriate to your route, weather, and personal needs. Food servings and survival tablets are not a guarantee of sufficient calories for a week of backpacking; plan food and water quantities for your activity and conditions. Review food labels, expiration dates, water-treatment instructions, and local fire restrictions. Use the biofuel stove outdoors only, never inside a tent or enclosed space.

“The prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself.” Proverbs 22:3, KJV (excerpt).
